1) Burning - It is a tingling pain and it feels as if a part of your body is touching something hot.

2) Chapped - We experience chapped skin or lips which are dry and painful especially because of cold weather.

3) Acute - This type of pain is used for describing pain that is strong and sharp but lasts for a short period.

4) Chronic - It is a serious pain that need medical attention. It is again a very strong and sharp pain but lasts for very long time.

5) Griping - A sharp sudden pain in the stomach

6) Inflamed - A part of your body that is inflamed is swollen, red and is painful because of an infection or injury,.

7) Itchy - Itchiness is an unpleasant feeling on your skin that makes you want to scratch or rub it.

8) Sore - Soreness is because of an injury or infection which is painful and makes you feel very uncomfortable.

9) Stiff - Stiffness is pain in your muscles and you cannot move your body part easily.

10) Stabbing - Stabbing is a sudden, strong and sharp pain.

11. Agliophobia - If a person has an abnormal fear of pain, he or she is an agliophobic.

Meaning – It is not necessary that everything that is shiny and extremely attractive is of value.
Example - Someone may be good looking and has an attractive personality. But he may not possess any real skills or talent.

Have a heart of gold.
Meaning – Someone who is generous, sincere, and very friendly.
Example - Michelle is such a lovely person. She has a heart of gold.
Gold digger.
Meaning - A woman who gets into relationships with men only to obtain money or privileges from them.
Example - Girls who go out with men who are old are just gold-diggers!"

Be as good as gold
Meaning – Someone who is Completely genuine and very well-behaved
Example, His personal score is as good as gold, or Michelle’s children are as good as Gold.

Go for gold
Meaning – An attempt to achieve the best possible results for some competitive activity, generally used in reference with sports activities.
Example –Our new software is great, we have to go for gold, no compromises on the marketing plan.

Meaning – Something that is very valuable.

Expecting
My sister in law is expecting her first child.

Carrying a child
Benny is carrying John’s child

Preggers/Preggo (slang terms)
I heard your wife is preggo!

Up the duff –
This term is used to describe an unplanned pregnancy.
My neighbor got Jessica up the duff.

In the pudding club
Did you know, Amy’s in the pudding club?

Up the spout (Scotland)
She’s up the spout again

Have a bun in the oven
We heard Ben’s got a bun in the oven

Knocked up
(Not very polite) This phrase is used among teenagers especially with teenage pregnancy)
The guy didn’t use protection and got this girl knocked up.

Eating for two
This is considered to be an old fashioned advice but also a good phrase to use to announce the big news.

In the family way
This is a very formal way of talking about a woman who is pregnant and is quite an old idiom which is actually dying out.

Shy: You experience nervousness or anxiety when facing a person or a situation
Example: I am shy when I have new people around.
Lack of confidence: being uncertain o a skill or some information
Example: You may lack confidence in painting. ( you do not know how to move your brush correctly)

2.Internal and External factor
Shy: being shy is an internal factor. Your mind keeps telling you what is wrong and keeps sending you signals. You are anxious, some people blush, some sweat,.
Lack of confidence: is an external factor. Your sure people would give you feedback to improve.

3.Opposite
Shy: The opposite is ‘bold’ or ‘daring’.
Lack of confidence: The opposite is ‘confidence’ or ‘over confidence’. Over confidence is slightly negative, you are so sure of your skills that you don’t feel the need to improve.

4.How to Overcome?
Shy: the only way to overcome is to come out of your ‘comfort zone’.
Lack of confidence: to overcome lack of confidence, one needs to ‘practice’. Practice a skill set to improve.

1. Alcoholic - An alcoholic beverage is a drink containing ethanol, commonly known as alcohol.
Example - I intend to be sober today so I will skip this alcoholic beverage.

2.Watered down - a watered-down drink has been made weaker with water and has lost its taste.

3. Corked - Unpleasant tasting wine is called as corked .When the cork in the bottle has been damaged and has allowed the bacteria into the water it starts tasting awful. Therefore the drink can be described as corked.
Example - This wine is corked.

4. Fizzy - A nonalcoholic, flavored, carbonated beverage, usually commercially prepared and sold in bottles or cans. Fizzy drinks are also called as soda or pop or a cold drink.
Example - I enjoy fizzy drinks.

5. Flat - A flat drink is the one that has lost its bubbles of gas therefore it tastes bad.
Example - If you don't put the top back on that bottle of beer, it will go flat.

6. Full bodied - The drink that has a rich strong flavor and tastes great.
Example - I love this full bodied white wine.

7. Stiff - A stiff drink contains a lot of alcohol and generally stronger in taste.
Example - This cocktail is so stiff.

8. Intoxicating - A drink that has too much of alcohol and is capable of making you drunk.
Example - This long island ice tea is so intoxicating.

9. Refreshing - The drink that refreshes you because of the fruity or tropical flavors. A refreshing drink is usually sweet, tart and cold.
Example - This summer I want to learn to make some refreshing summer coolers.

10. Caffeinated - A caffeinated drink or caffeinated beverage is a drink which contains caffeine, a stimulant, which is legal and popular in most developed countries. The most common naturally caffeinated beverages are coffee and tea.
Example - The energy drinks available in the market these days are caffeinated.
